Meet AT's Publishers and Staff

Gordon and Debbie Johnson have been coaching and teaching swimming for 30+ years in California in a variety of capacities, mostly as head coaches -- year 'round, high school, rec and swim clinics and lessons. We most recently coached clinics for Terrapins, then opened our own swim academy last fall where we offer swim lessons for ages 3-Adult, competitive stroke and dive clinics and underwater stroke filming.

Publishing, writing and editing is nothing new to Gordon and Debbie, as they've published and written for Christian homeschool magazines and newsletters for many years, and Debbie was an editor for a newspaper. We wear a lot of hats and do just about everything that needs done to run Aquatic Times and Aquatic Times Swim Academy, both which have taken off to a great start! THANK YOU!

Holly was a swimmer and water polo player who has been teaching and coaching for six years for rec pools and teams and for Terrapin and Aquatic Times Swim Academy stroke clinics. She serves AT as our accountant, photographer and occasional writer.

Olivia also was a swimmer and serves AT as a occasional writer/photographer. She comes to us with a great deal of experience in the writing field where she was a supervising editor and coordinator of numerous writers, as well designing numerous websites.

It's been a BIG blessing and pleasure to meet all of you and make new acquaintances, and we look forward to many more years of working with you and serving you!

Welcome to Aquatic Times!

Synchronized Swimming, Diving,
Water Polo and Swimming
-- AT covers it all!

Contra Costa County is one of the great aquatic hot spots in the United States. Swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, rec, high school, USA, and college --
Contra Costa county has it all!

Aquatic Times (AT) is a web-magazine that is published weekly and will cover competitive aquatic sports throughout the year in and around Contra Costa county. The focus of AT will be on people -- articles about meets, athlete and coach profiles, etc.

Our goal is to make swimming, diving, water polo and synchronized swimming even more exciting and fun! We will be counting on support from teams throughout the county to send in exhilarating meet/game/event recaps, scores, photos, etc. We want to showcase aquatic athletes at every level.

We have a lot planned, but the ultimate scope of AT will be decided largely by advertising revenue. So, if you know anyone who would like to advertise in AT, encourage them give us a call.

Feel free to call or write us with ideas on how to make the Aquatic Times even better. We'd love to hear from you!

And, as always...

See you at the pool!
