Jeff Mellinger
Jeff started his coaching career at Valley Vista and has done
a phenomenal job at Forest Park (head coach for ten [10] years now!),
helping it double in size and
making them a force to contend with in their league, at Concord City Meet and at
County Meet. He's coached high school water polo and swimming
at Ygnacio Valley and Concord High Schools, as well as coaching
high school pre-season for the Terrapins.
As a swimmer and player, Jeff is no stranger to winning races
in rec and high school championships and setting records,
such as when he swam the backstroke leg of the Masters 400
meter medley relay, helping them set a Pacific Swim Record!
He really cares about the swimmers and wants what is best
for them and keeps up-to-date on the latest swim technique,
team standings, opposing swimmers’ times, who’s who in the
world of swimming and what makes a great swimmer and
coach. His professionalism, knowledge and expertise are a
GREAT asset to us and we’re very happy to have him on our
staff! He is requested by parents and swimmers each ATSA clinic/lesson season.
