Seeking Head Coach...
"THE WOODLANDS SWIM TEAM" is interviewing for a new head coach to design, own and manage a swim program to include
pre-season, regular
season and a fall program. Pre-season begins mid-April, with the regular season commencing at the end of May and running through
mid-August for swimmers who go to County Meet. The fall program begins in September and runs through early November.
The team consists of
approximately 180 swimmers ranging from 6 & unders through the 15/18 age group, with the majority of our swimmers 12 and under.
The team also has an active social calendar throughout the summer, and our coaching staff is part of all of the activities.
Woodlands is rich in tradition and pride, and we are looking for a coach who cares as much about competition as they do about community.

Seeking Ass't Coach...
DANVILLE SEA DEVILS is a recreational family-oriented swim team of approximately 260 swimmers ages 4-18, is seeking
a professional, dedicated Assistant Coach for the 2012 Summer Rec season. Practices are located in Danville. Preseason will commence with
afternoon clinics in March. Regular season will begin with afternoons in April, mornings after the school year ends, and will continue
through the second week of August.
Skills and experience should include:
~ability to motivate and teach swim skills, with a passion for sportsmanship and proper stroke technique
~enthusiasm to coach and teach while maintaining a friendly and fun atmosphere
~2 or more seasons of swim coach experience at a rec level
~cooperative spirit to engage with the head coach and other assistant coaches on staff
~First Aid and CPR perferred

Well-known (Coach) Sarah Stretch grew up, swam and coached in our midst in Contra Costa County and is the current
Aquatics Programs Director/Coach at Laney College in Oakland. She invites you, below, to check out Laney College and join their excellent
aquatics teams...
Laney College is a two year community college that offers associate degrees and certificate programs in more than 30 technical education,
liberal arts and science fields. Laney is the largest college in the Peralta District which includes Berkeley City College, College of
Alameda and Merrit College. As a student in the district, you can attend any of the colleges and still participate in our aquatic programs.
All the colleges have great public transportation access. Bart drops you off right in front of Laney. Laney has transfer agreements with
over 60 colleges and universities and guaranteed admission to numerous colleges in the state of California, with one of the highest rates
of transfers to Cal Berkeley in the area.
If you are considering playing water polo or swimming after high school, please check us out! By being a part of our program, we can provide
you with all the tools to achieve your athletic goals. Our goal is to help student athletes reach their full potential in their sport, as well
as in academics. In the last few years, we have boasted All Conference water polo players with ever improving records, and have placed second
and third in the Bay Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. We are looking for athletes to join our challenging, competitive,
fun, growing aquatics program.

Record Breaker veteran does it again...
...but this time he's joined by his brother, Erick (12). This awesome brother duo captured high point for their age division!
Ryan broke the 9-10 boys 100 I.M. County Meet record with a new time of 1:07.84.
Additionally, both boys broke their team's 100 I.M. and backstroke records!
