Note: All submissions (including articles and photos) become the property of Aquatic Times and can be edited and used at AT's discretion. Also, Aquatic Times reserves the right to publish or not publish submissions.

Record Breakers 2010

We are accepting submissions from the 2010 swim season.
See submission guidlines on the side bar.


Sarah Hamilton, 8, from Dana Hills Otters dawns her High Point trophy from the 2010 Contra Costa County Championships. Sarah had a successful season breaking a total of 11 records, some of which are listed below.

Two Dana Hills Pool Records:
25 Free with a time of 15.07 (old time was 15.30)
25 Fly with a time of 15.76 (old time was 16.68)

Six Dana Hills Team records:
25 Back with a time of 17.75 (old time was 18.23)
25 Fly with a time of 15.76 (old time was 16.68)
25 Free with a time of 14.13 (old time was 15.30)
25 Breast with a time of 19.57 (old time was 20.12)

Contra Costa Swim League Meet Pool and League Records:
25 Free pool and league records with a time of 14.20 (old records were 14.51 set in 2001)
25 Breast pool and league records with a time of 19.57 (old records were 19.82 set in 2001 and 19.68 set in 1981).

This dynamic quartet set two new team records in the 7-8 Girls Free and Medley Relays.
They also set a Concord City Championship record with a time of 1:02.88 (old records was 1:04.26 set in 1989).

NCS Championships

200 Medley Relay team of Madison White, Allison Gargalikis, Christina Ray and Chelsea Chenault shattered the NCS 200 Medley Relay and beat the National Record with a 1:40.80!

Freshman Chelsea Chenault (Carondelet) set a new 500 yard Freestyle NCS record with a blistering 4:44.43.

DFAL Championships

200 Medley Relay team of Madison White, Allison Gargalikis, Christina Ray and Chelsea Chenault shattered the NCS 200 Medley Relay and beat the National Record with a 1:40.80!

Campolindo 200 Medley Relay team of Sven Campbell, Steven Stumph, Strausser, Ashby in a time of 1:34.14. Campolindo 200 Free Relay team of Strausser, Zolintakis, Sanders, Kingery in a time of 1:25.69. Campolindo 400 Free Relay team of Sven Campbell, Zolintakis, Kingery, Ashby in a time of 3:08.40. Miller (Los Lomas)won the 200 Freestyle with a new meet record of 1:40.18. Harper (Los Lomas)won the 500 Freestyle with a new meet record of 4:33.78. Sven Campbell (Campolindo) won the 100 yard Backstroke with a new record of 51.69. Charlie Wiser (Miramonte won the 100 Breaststroke in a time of 56.64. EBAL Championships

Freshman Chelsea Chenault (Carondelet) set a new 500 yard Freestyle NCS record with a blistering 4:44.43.

Freshman Chelsea Chenault (Carondelet) set a new 200 yard Freestyle NCS record with a blistering 1:46.77.

Carondelet (Cougars) Girls set new meet records in the 200 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay.
