Critical Solutions would like to honor those swimmers who have broken
team, pool, meet, league, and/or City/County records by listing their accomplishments
on this page.

Del Amigo's sisters Charlotte (8) and Samantha Meier (6) combined broke 24 records this past summer.
Charlotte Meier's Records (14):

She broke the Blackhawk pool records as follows:
25 Back 16.67, old record was Madison White's with a 17.80;
100 IM 1:16.22, old time was 1:25.83
At Roundhill County Club she broke pool records as follows:

At Woodlands she broke pool records as follows:

Charlotte was the High Point Winner at Woodlands Invitational, League and County - all 3 for the 3rd year in a row.

Jake also broke the 50 yd breaststroke Pool records at Vista Diablo with a 36.71 (old record was 39.32, and at PH Aquatics with a 36.79,
and the 100 yd IM pool record at Springwood with a 1:12.42 (old was 1:12.62.

Sun Valley 9-10 girls broke the Sun Valley pool record for 9-10 Girls Freestyle Relay in the County preliminaries.
They also came in 4th in County. The girls pictured from left to right are: Caroline Wash, Alyssa Mueller, Sasha Newton, and Jillian Wickline.
Former Girls 9/10 200 Yard Freestyle Relay Record (from 1998): was 2:04:32. The new Girls Record is 2:04:08. The girls are coached by
Catherine (Cat) O'Neil and Kelly Stravers.

Larkey Shark 11-12 boys, Nate Burkhart, Ryan Simpson, Wyatt Goertler, and
Gregory Schmidt, broke the Walnut Creek Swim Conference and Larkey Shark team records
in the 200 yd. Freestyle Relay with a new record time of 1:47.87. The
old team record was 1:48.78 set in 1999 and the old conference meet
record was 1:48.28 from 2007 (Springbrook). Incidentally, Springbrook
last year had taken the record from the Larkey Sharks of 1999, so Larkey
was happy to take it back this year!

Standing behind the girls presenting their awards is one of Contra Costa County's premier past REC swimmers and USS water polo players, Nick Feriff.
Nick, LMYA's assistant coach,
is now swimming and playing water polo for UC Berkeley (Cal).

Blackhawk's awesome 7-8 Girls Medley Relay shattered the team and Blackhawk pool record of 1:11.92 (2004)
with an amazing time of 1:10.32 in a dual meet against the Del Amigo Dolphins at the Blackhawk pool July 9, 2008!

of eight-year-old girls also broke the meet record in the girls 7-8 breaststroke relay (1:27.67) at the Blackhawk Relays June 22
(old - 1:28.39 from 2005 by Crow Canyon Country Club) and the girls 7-8 medley relay pool record (1:11.87) at the Roundhill Country Club pool
(old- 1:14.01 from 2006) in a dual meet July 19.
These girls are coached by Brian Holm.

Walnut Heights Otters (WHO) 15-18 Mens' and Womens' Relays:
The boys broke TWO RECORDS... The
team record is now 1:32.65. And, while they were at it, they handily set a new 200 yard free relay pool record.
Not to be left out, the 15-18 girls also broke the free relay pool record in a time of 1:46.06.

Walnut Heights Otters (WHO) 11-12 Girls started the record breaking night off with
a new pool record for their free relay with a time of 1:56.78.

Then, the WHO team of Danielle Johnson, Erin Delaporta,
Vicki Ramia and Morgan Davenport set another
pool record in the 13-14 Girls free relay in a time of 1:50.74.
 Before the 13-14 girls could dry off... WHO's 15-18 team of Lexie Dorn,
Alex Sealy, Melissa Bartow and Mary Banfield set a new pool record of 1:46.06 in the 200 free relay.

Not to be out-done by the WHO girls, the 15-18 boys, Nick Michels,
Matt Hoff, Ryan Day and Jonathan Johnson broke both the team and pool free relay records charting a new time
of 1:32.65.

To cap the night off, and swimming in his last home meet, Walnut Heights Otters'
Ryan Day broke the teams' 50 yard
butterfly record with a fast 50 yard split of 25.56 by way of the 100 fly.

Erin Delaporta (Walnut Heights Otters) broke the team 13-14 50 fly record in
a new time of 28.87!

One of six, yes, that's right, 6 sets of twins on the Walnut Heights Otters this year,
Alyosha and Misha Sinkevich (14)
both have outstanding freestyle times (Alyosha has the team record with 24.25 and his twin,
Misha, is close on his brother's heels at 24.34). Who will win the dual at Conference? Both of them also
play water polo for the 680 Drivers.
2008 North Coast Section High School Records:
Sean Reilly broke the nine-year-old NCS 100 freestyle record with a 44.62. Los Lomas Knights women
(Devin Madsen, Kasey Carlson, Shelley Harper & Thomas) broke the NCS 200 medley relay record with a 1:42.77.
Clayton Valley Boys (Matt Bishop, Brendon Brown, Sean Reilly, Kyle Tully)
broke the 200 freestyle relay record with a 1:25.01.

Kasey Carlson (Terrapins) broke the Pacific Record with her fourth place finish with a
1:09 swim at Stanford Grand Prix.

Chelsea Chenault (Terrapins) broke the TERA 13-14 100 free rcord with her 57.96 swim at the
long course Senior Section meet in Mission Viejo.

Forrest White (Crow Canyon Sharks) set a Pacific Swimming Region record and Short
Course Far Westernmeet record,

David Morgan (Crow Canyon Sharks) set two meet records -- a Pacific Swimming Region record and a
Short
Course Far Westernmeet record,
winning the Men's 11-12 100 free (49.68). He also set a meet record in capturing the 11-12 Men's 50 free in a smashing

Crow Canyons 13-14 Women's 200 yard Medley Relay team took first, setting a Short Course Far Western
meet record of 1:49.87:
Madison White, Taylor Nanfria, Callie Klein, Devin Madsen
13-14 Women's 400 yard Medley Relay team placed first in another meet record time of 3:56.37.
